About the centre/service

Balcombe Preschool is located on Boon Wurrung Country in Mount Martha. Set in a beautiful, natural bush environment, we are run by a supportive volunteer Committee of Management, with a team of 8 dedicated staff. We offer two 4-year-old groups of 30 children and one 3 year old group of 22 children. Having received an Exceeding Rating this year for our A & R for the 3rd time, we pride ourselves in providing a welcoming environment to our families, whilst delivering a quality educational program, catering for individual needs using the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework.

Terms 1 & 4 - 12 hours. Terms 2 & 3 - 14 hours

Description of role

Balcombe Preschool in Mount Martha is seeking an enthusiastic Certificate lll or Diploma Educator to join our team commencing ASAP! The successful applicant will be responsible for covering the staff lunch breaks Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during school terms, working alongside the Teacher/Educators to assist with the implementation of a high quality 4-year-old program. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively is essential. Work hours are 11am-2pm (3 hours per day) during Terms 1 and 4 with an extra hour (11am-3pm) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during Terms 2 and 3 to assist in the delivery of our Bush Kinder Program.

Qualifications

Minimum Certificate lll in Children’s Services or Diploma of Early Childhood Education (as approved by ACECQA).
